Hmmm…either Dallas at home or Carolina at home
Regarding Arn’s picks, they are pretty good pics:
- Dallas is a 9 point favorite against Arizona at home.
- Carolina is an 8 point favorite at home against the Vikings.
But Tampa Bay is an 11 point favorite against the 49ers, even though they are away in San Fran.
And Pittsburgh is a 10 point favorite at home agaist the Ravens.
So those are also 2 more viable options.
Personally, I would go with Tampa Bay, even though they are away. The Niners are just horrible.
I agree with Roly. I’m deciding between Tampa and Pittsburgh in my pool too. When in doubt, I would usually go with the home team (Pitt) but looking ahead (always a dangerous thing), Pitt plays at GB next week.
So, I think my plan is to go with TB this week and then Pitt next week (if I survive!)
Actually, Pitt next week isn’t the easiest play. JAX and probably the Giants are better. Alright, I’ll stop myself from looking ahead. Get through this week first!
Final answer - Pittsburgh this week. They’re at home, Ravens will be without Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, and Hines Ward is half-Korean. ‘Nuff said!
I’m not as confident with Tampa b/c Chris Simms doesn’t have too much experience plus they’re on the road. True, the Niners are horrible but there’s enough doubt there that I would rather go with Pitt.
