COLDPLAY TICKETS

Didnt’ want this to turn into a Craigslist but I have two tickets for ColdPlay at Nassau Coliseum. I never placed a bid online before so I didn’t know that once you place a bid, you can’t withdraw. I placed a bid on a second concert date because I thought it would be easier for Christine and I to get there (its a Christmas gift for her, so shhh, don’t let her know!). Long story short, I won both bids and am now stuck with two pairs of tickets on different days.

They are primo seats but also cost me primo bucks, I’m selling them for the amount I bid for them ($300). They make an excellent Christmas gift for that special someone (or if you know a sugarmomma/daddy, let them know that it would make an excellent gift for you!)

Specifics:
Nassau Coliseum
Sunday 3/26/06

Floor Section A1
Row 5
Seats 11-12

Aeon Flux

In this futuristic sci-fi thriller set 400 years into the future, Charlize Theron stars as Aeon Flux, the top underground operative at war with the totalitarian regime governing what appears to be a perfect society.

Official Site

There hasn’t been any reviews as of thursday…Paramount has decided not to screen “Aeon Flux” in advance for critics. This is usually a sign that the film will suck!, and that they are trying to make a quick buck opening weekend before being savaged by the press. Hopefully, its not that bad.

*Update:As it turns out, however, the film has been kept under wraps not to create an aura of mystery but rather to conceal its true identity as a thoroughly awful and unusually incoherent piece of work. Aeon Flux comes off as nothing less than a total disaster, and the unmistakably campy vibe (a woman with hands for feet? Who thought that was a good idea?) precludes any chance the film might have had of being taken seriously. Theron will likely walk away from this mess unscathed, though it’s impossible not to wonder what originally drew her to this astoundingly preposterous tale. - Reelfilm.com

ESPN Suspends Michael Irvin for One Week

Michael Irvin says he has been suspended by ESPN for one week for not telling the network about his arrest last week, when police found a drug pipe hidden in his car during a traffic stop.

Irvin, who has maintained that the pipe belonged to a friend, told The Associated Press on Thursday that he won’t return to the air until Dec. 11. He was arrested Friday in Plano for an outstanding warrant on an unpaid speeding ticket but was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after police searched his car. - Yahoo News

Alicia Keys and Bono to Release Song to Raise Funds for African Children With AIDS

Alicia Keys and Bono are hoping to save the lives of children through song. The two superstars have collaborated on “Don’t Give Up (Africa),” and will donate all proceeds to Keep A Child Alive, which provides medicine to families infected with AIDS and the HIV virus.

The song will be available exclusively on iTunes starting Tuesday. The pair first sang the tune at a Nov. 3 fund-raiser in New York City for the charity (Keys performed onstage while Bono crooned via satellite from a remote location).

“Don’t Give Up” was originally performed by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush in 1986, and was titled, “So.” - ABC News

Wow! thats awesome… I remember the Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush version, its pretty good. I can’t wait to hear the new version!

Face Off

Surgeons in France have carried out the first face transplant, it has been reported. The woman had lost her nose, lips and chin after being savaged by a dog.In the controversial operation, tissues, muscles, arteries and veins were taken from a brain-dead donor and attached to the patient’s lower face.

All-in-One Secretmaker 4.2.3

The best innovation of All-in-One Secretmaker’s generous list of features is the NetBIOS protection that stops tracking companies from identifying you. Not only does it delete temporary and history files from Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet Explorer, the free utility also cleans the traces left by Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, WinZip, Acrobat Reader, GetRight, and Google Toolbar. The program effectively kills pop-up windows, including those sent through the Windows Messenger service, and marks spam. We’re glad to note the application’s main interface has gotten a much-needed overahul; it’s still simple to use but appears a lot more polished. The program includes whitelists for banners, pop-ups, and spam. It also can now generate any number of passwords using letters, numbers, or a combo of both. All-in-One Secretmaker will suit most users concerned with their privacy, especially considering it’s free. - Download.com
