The Hollywood Reporter announces that, as expected, 20th Century Fox is moving forward with plans for Fantastic Four 2. The project is set for a July 4, 2007 bow. The trade reports that Tim Story is back in the director’s chair and Mark Frost will return to script the sequel.
Avi Arad, Bernd Eichinger and Ralph Winter are producing.
Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans are signed to reprise their roles as the titular quartet, although Julian McMahon, who portrayed Dr. Doom, will not be back. McMahon will instead film Premonition opposite Sandra Bullock.
Fantastic Four hits DVD shelves on Tuesday the 6th. - IGN
