Beyonce’s 2nd Solo Album

Beyonce Knowles hopes to release her second solo album in September after filming for her latest feature film has wrapped, it has been reported.

“I’m not going to write for the album until I finish doing the movie,” she says to the US publication. “I’ve never been so excited about a movie in my life. I want to give 100% to this film, because I know I was born for this role.”

Her label Columbia records hopes to begin recording in May, with a September release date an optimistic target. However, filming schedules for “Dreamgirls” could put a spanner in the works. The new album is the follow up to 2003’s “Dangerously In Love”. - Soundgenerator.com

Tyrese Wants to be Luke Cage

“I’m probably going to be benching about 415 pounds once I get into that mode,” Gibson said with a grin as he discussed his desire to play Luke Cage in an upcoming superhero flick from the makers of “The Fantastic Four” and the “Spider-Man” films. “They’re just saying that ‘Luke Cage was a real big and muscular guy, and we want to make sure that you appear to be that.’ ”

Tyrese would indeed seem to have the inside track, as “Luke Cage” director John Singleton has worked with him three times (”Baby Boy,” “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Four Brothers”) and has stated that he’d like Marvel to hand the role to his frequent leading man (see “Tyrese As Luke Cage? Maybe, Says John Singleton”). In order to show Marvel that it’d be making the right decision, the star recently began a strict workout regimen that will hopefully render him superheroic. - MTV

(Lately) have I told you I want to be Luke Cage?
