Mets GM Omar Minaya will give Henderson that opportunity, but the 47-year-old won’t be taking Jose Reyes’ leadoff spot.
Minaya announced yesterday that baseball’s all-time stolen-base leader will join the Mets as a spring-training instructor to help with baserunning, and may return in the regular season “to follow up on some guys. - New York Daily News
