Mike Pelfrey, making his Double-A debut

Mike Pelfrey, making his Double-A debut, continued to dominate. The 2005 first-round pick - who had a 1.64 ERA in four Florida State League starts - tossed 5-2/3 scoreless innings for Binghamton at Erie last night. He surrendered three hits while striking out eight and walking two in a 90-pitch no-decision. - New York Daily News

Might as well bring him up to the majors… He has to be better then Zambrano! Pelfrey is 6′7 and only 22 years old.

Giants picks (Rounds 1-3)

Mathias Kiwanuka, BC

Pick: 1st Round (32nd overall)
Vitals: DE, 6-5, 268

What you should know: A speedy pass rusher who’ll provide insurance in case Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck all get hurt. Has Jevon Kearse-like speed, but needs to get bigger. Was dominated by Jets’ first-round pick D’Brickashaw Ferguson in Senior Bowl. His grandfather was Benedicto Kiwanuka, former Ugandan prime minister who was killed in 1972 by Idi Amin.

Sinorice Moss, Miami

Pick: 2nd Round (44th overall)
Vitals: WR, 5-8, 185

What you should know: He’s not the big receiver the Giants prefer, but he could turn out to be the fastest. And considering all the trouble they had covering Sinorice’s brother, Redskins receiver Santana Moss, last season, the Giants know little guys with big speed can get the job done.

Gerris Wilkinson, Georgia Tech

Pick: 3rd Round (96th overall)
Vitals: LB, 6-3, 233

What you should know: He’s big enough to play inside and quick enough to play outside, making him an ideal backup for a unit with many injury issues. He also gives the Giants a young linebacker to develop in case LaVar Arrington or Carlos Emmons aren’t around in a couple of years. - NY Daily News

D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Virginia

Pick: 1st Round (4th overall)
Vitals: LT, 6-6, 306

What you should know: A shutdown pass protector. Could become Chad Pennington’s best friend. Good, not dominant run blocker. Remarkable athlete with a 7-3 wingspan. Degree in religious studies, a youth minister, plays the saxophone, black belt in karate. Named for the Ralph de Bricassart character played by Richard Chamberlain in “The Thorn Birds.”

Nick Mangold, Ohio State

Pick: 1st Round (29th overall)
Vitals: C, 6-4, 300

What you should know: The best center in the draft. Will battle recently-acquired vet Trey Teague for the starting job. Three-year starter in college. Not an overpowering blocker, but plays with great technique and intelligence. Could be the next Kevin Mawae.

Kellen Clemens, Oregon

Pick: 2nd Round (49th overall)
Vitals: QB, 6-1-1/2, 219

What you should know: Fourth QB taken in the draft. Recorded a 61/24 TD-INT ratio in college. Great intangibles, questionable arm strength. Best suited to a West Coast offense. Sounds like Chad Pennington. Season ended Oct. 22 after broken left ankle.

Anthony Schlegel, Ohio State

Pick: Round 3 (76th overall)
Vitals: LB, 6-0-1/2, 250

What you should know: A reach in the third round, according to many draft experts. Three-year starter in college, but could have trouble finding time in the Jets’ suddenly-crowded linebacking corps. Tough at the point of attack, but doesn’t cover much ground.

Eric Smith, Michigan State

Pick: Round 3 (97th overall)
Vitals: S, 6-1, 209

What you should know: Yes, another safety - five in the last three drafts. A slew of injuries, but healthy the last two years. Smart and intense. Sounds like an ideal special teamer. Even Smith was surprised that he went in Round 3: “I was getting ready to pack it in and call it a night.” - NY Daily News

Giants pick Mathias Kiwanuka & Sinorice Moss

Boston College defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka takes a call while looking at NFL draft related websites at his home in Indianapolis, Saturday, April 29, 2006. Kiwanuka was waiting for the start of the 2006 NFL draft to see what team would select him. - Yahoo

Giants traded up with the Ravens and selected this speedster. Moss is a small, quick burner with the ability to stretch the field. He should play immediately in three wideout sets and give them a playmaker with a big upside. - nfldraft.rivals.com

Jets get D’Brickashaw Ferguson

Virginia tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson, the first round draft pick of the New York Jets and fourth overall, speaks to the media during the NFL Draft, Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Radio City Music Hall. - Yahoo

Good Pick for the Jets!!…hmmm… I guess..D’Brickashaw Wang? haha! He’s going to solidify the left side of the Jets offensive line for the next 10 years. He’s from Freeport, Long Island…A Big guy from Freeport…no wonder why hes good!

Texans to draft Williams No. 1, not Bush

The Houston Texans got the NFL draft off to a stunning start a day early, bypassing Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and instead signing defensive end Mario Williams with the No. 1 pick Friday night.

Houston started negotiating with both Williams and Bush this week. While many expected the Southern California running back to be the Texans’ choice, they went for the North Carolina State lineman instead. - MSNBC

WOW!!! what a shocker!! I thought for sure Bush would go number 1…a no brainer! I guess not!

Wii

Wii

Nintendo has officially announced the name of the Revolution console - the Nintendo Wii.

The announcement comes ahead of the E3 games show where we were expecting the name to be revealed. - Bit-tech.net

Wii better be as good as they (Xbox 360 and Playstation 3) if they want to compete. There is no release date as of now for “Wii”. Playstation 3 comes out in November. Nintendo has the “Legend of Zelda” games, which will make it a good buy. “Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker” is still one of the best games I’ve ever played.

‘Peaceful Warrior’

Based on the best selling novel ‘Way of the Peaceful Warrior’. Starring Nick Nolte, Amy Smart, and Scott Mechlowicz

Michelle Rodriguez pulls a Barry Bonds

mr

Lost star Michelle Rodriguez has blamed her drunk-driving and subsequent bad behavior on her use of steroids.

The star was sentenced to serve five days in a Hawaiian jail yesterday, after pleading guilty to a drunk-driving charge.

The actress insisted in court the steroid injections she had been taking twice monthly to treat allergies to “dust and cockroach resin” made her “manic.” - Hollywood.com

No wonder she kinda looks manly. I heard ‘Lost’ producers already filmed a scene where she gets killed off, but thats a rumor.

Jolie tops People’s ‘100 Most Beautiful’

She’s got that pregnant glow, but it is Angelina Jolie’s humanitarian efforts that make her most radiant, according to People magazine.

The pillow-lipped actress graces the cover of People’s “100 Most Beautiful People” issue, on newsstands Friday. It’s her fourth time on the list, but first as cover girl.

“She looks the most beautiful when she’s in the field — natural, no makeup, nothing,” the magazine quotes musician Wyclef Jean, who worked with Jolie on a relief effort in Haiti. “Because you see Angelina, the angel. It doesn’t get any better than that.” - MSNBC

Prime Steakhouse

Superstar Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten raises steakhouse dining to new heights at PRIME, located at lakeside with views of the fountains and lights of Las Vegas. Brimming with Baccarat chandeliers, plush furnishings and gilt galore, PRIME evokes the charms of a luxurious 1930s-style speakeasy.

Named “Best Steakhouse in Las Vegas” by Las Vegas Life Magazine, PRIME may well be the grandest, most romantic steakhouse on earth!

I can still taste the Seafood appetizers!!!! MMmmmmm!!! Great view of the “dancing” fountains while eating!

‘The Lake House’ Trailer

This is the trailer for “The Lake House” starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Movie comes out June 16, 2006.

Looks interesting. Reminds me of that movie “Frequency” starring Dennis Quaid and James Caviezel.

David Blaine thinks he’s Aquaman

db

Magician David Blaine has announced plans to spend seven days submerged in a water-filled container in New York. After one week, he will remove his air supply and attempt to break the world record for holding breath.

The magician will enter an 8ft (2.5m) high water-filled sphere on 1 May and remain submerged for a week.

Organisers say they want fans and well-wishers “to visit, touch the sphere and offer words of support”.

Before climbing out of the tank, located at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Blaine will try to break the record for holding breath, currently set at eight minutes 58 seconds. - BBC News

This is not magic! This is more like stupid stunts. He’s crazy! Criss Angel is better.
