Kobe No. 24???

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant will switch his jersey number from 8 to 24 for next season, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Bryant wore No. 24 when he began his career at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pa. He switched to No. 33, worn by his father Joe “Jelly Bean” Bryant in high school, by the time he was a senior and leading the school to the state championship, ESPN said. - MSNBC

Man! He really want to be like Jordan…He’s with Nike now. He wants a number close to 23…I wonder if the Lakers retired that number or Kobe wants to be one up on Jordan.

The Fray

From the sleepy sprawl of America’s Mile-High City comes The Fray, a Denver-based foursome whose melodic pop-rock songs and soaring vocals resonate with sprawling tapestries and tales of hopefulness and heartache.

Check them out! They remind me of ‘Coldplay’. “Over My Head (Cable Car)” is a good song!

Federer’s Kryptonite

In any place you can imagine, on any surface you can invent, against any opponent you can find, Roger rules.

Except on clay, against Rafael Nadal.

Nadal

Maybe it’s more complicated than that. Maybe it’s just Nadal anywhere, but especially on clay, because Federer has played him five times, lost twice on clay (French Open 2005 and Monte Carlo on Sunday) but twice on hard court, too. The only time Federer won, on hard court in 2005, Nadal was two sets to love up. - The Hindu

Federer is 1-4 vs Nadal. If he wants to be the best ever, he has to beat Nadal. Nadal plays lefty and he naturally hits cross court to Federer’s backhand. Nadal hits with a high lobby topspin ball to Federer’s backhand… if you play tennis, you know the hardest ball to hit is the high backhand.

Britney & K-Fed fight in Vegas

A weeping Britney Spears fled from hubby Kevin Federline in full view of diners in the Nero’s restaurant at Caesars Palace last night, Friday, April 21. It was just moments before he was due to walk the red carpet with her to debut his new CD appropriately titled Playing With Fire at the nearby Pure nightclub.

“It was a full blown war of words that got louder and more heated as the dinner went on” said one eyewitness. “It was a very bad night for Britney.”

Another eyewitness says, “It really was huge fight.”

Finally shaking and in tears, Britney fled the restaurant and raced up to her suite alone — boycotting his performance at the nightclub.- AOL Journals

Favre returning to Packers for 2006

Brett Favre has told the Green Bay Packers he will return to play this year, ESPN.com reported Tuesday night.

ESPN.com, citing anonymous team and league sources, said Favre informed Packers general manager Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy of his decision in a telephone conversation Tuesday morning. - SI.com

Thats cool! He’s one of the best QB’s of all time. Only 2nd to Dan Marino in passing yards, td’s, and completions. Green Bay is still a bad team though.
