Nike+iPod Sports Kit
Nike Inc. said on Tuesday that its shoes will now be able to talk to Apple Computer Inc.’s iPod music players about how far anathlete has run with a new wireless system called Nike+iPod.
Using a Nike+iPod Sports Kit, expected to retail for about $29, consumers will be able to access distance, time, pace and calories burned on the screen of a nano version of the iPod via a sensor inside the shoes that communicates with the digital music player.
The kit will be available in stores within two months and other products will follow. - Yahoo
More On The Nike+iPod Sports Kit
The Nike+iPod cross promotion encourages runners to buy a new pair of Nike+ sneakers, which have a little pocket for a wireless sensor. The wireless sensor is part of a $30 Nike+iPod Sport Kit from Apple, which is expected to ship within 60 days.
The Nike+iPod Sport Kit also includes a small receiver that plugs into the dock connector on the bottom of the iPod. Out on the road, the sensor sends data about time, distance, and pace to the iPod, which provides unspecified “workout-based voice feedback” while you run. Presumably, it’s encouraging.
Back at home, the iPod uploads the exercise data to the Mac or PC, and syncs with iTunes and the NikePlus website which records runs and sets goals. In addition, the site will allow runners to challenge each other to “virtual races” and download time- or distance-based workout routines. It will also offer sporty iMixes “chosen and introduced by top athletes.” - Wired

‘Angels & Demons’
“Yesterday we shared the news that the “Da Vinci Code” prequel was being discussed, and today comes word that screenwriter Akiva Goldsman will definitely be returning. (We can only hope he read some of the “Da Vinci” reviews.) No word yet on Ron Howard or Tom Hanks, but you just know they’ll be back. Well, Hanks, anyway.
In “Angels,” Langdon’s character tries to solve a murder and unravel a plot by an ancient group, the Illuminati, to blow up the Vatican during a papal conclave. Sony acquired the feature rights to “Angels” as part of its 2003 deal with Brown for “The Da Vinci Code.” - Rottentomatoes
‘Die Hard 4′
Hollywood actor Bruce Willis on Friday announced filmmakers are ready to start shooting a fourth “Die Hard” movie, and they hope to have it in cinemas next year. Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival in France, Willis - who stars as policeman John McClane in the “Die Hard” films - revealed the highly-anticipated sequel is expected to start filming soon. He said, “We’re as close as we’ve ever got to getting “Die Hard 4″ started. It won’t be called “Die Hard 4″ but that will be the story. Hopefully it will be out next summer.” The movie’s plot had to be rewritten after last year’s Hurricane Katrina tragedy - the original screenplay involved an oil tanker explosion that sends huge waves flooding into New Orleans, Louisiana.” - Rottentomatoes
‘Die Hard 4′ will star Ashton Kutcher, who plays an evil prankster. John McClane gets revenge for being punk’d.
