“Superman” Flying Early
Superman is turning back time again.
Warner Bros. has moved up the global release date for Superman Returns, director Bryan Singer’s hotly anticipated re-imagining of the Man of Steel, from Friday, June 30 to Wednesday, June 28 to boost the blockbuster’s chances at the box office over the Fourth of July holiday, the studio confirmed Wednesday.
By unspooling Superman Returns with midnight screenings on that Wednesday, nearly a week before Independence Day, Warner hopes to give the film a jump on the competition, namely Disney’s upcoming sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, opening Friday, July 7. - Yahoo

Those features mirror YouTube, which has become the Web’s most popular video channel since a pair of twentysomething technology whizzes started the San Mateo, Calif.-based company a year ago. - Yahoo
