Report: T.O. attempted suicide
Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens tried to kill himself by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after a friend intervened, according to a police report obtained Wednesday.
The Dallas police report said Owens was asked by rescue workers “if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, ‘Yes.”‘
The report said the 32-year-old Owens told his friend “that he was depressed.” Details of the police report were first reported by WFAA-TV. - SI.com

* Update - But according to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram and The Dallas Morning News, Owens’ publicist Kim Etheredge has denied reports of an attempted suicide.
Etheredge attributed Owens’ statement to rescue workers that he was attempting to harm himself to the fact that Owens was groggy after mixing pain pills with supplements. She also said that Owens did not have his stomach pumped at the hospital and did not vomit. - Fox Sports
