Doogie Howser, M.D. likes the “Suppository and Enemas”

Neil Patrick Harris is gay – and wants to quell recent reports that he had denied it. The actor tells PEOPLE exclusively:

“The public eye has always been kind to me, and until recently I have been able to live a pretty normal life. Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships.

“So, rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love.”

Pedro may retire if shoulder ailing

Pedro Martinez says that if his right shoulder doesn’t return to full strength, he would consider retiring.

Thus far, his recovery has gone well.

“It’s getting better and progress is above all what is hoped for,” Martinez told The Associated Press on Friday. “To go back I have to recover. I have to be healthy. But if God doesn’t want that, then I would have to think about giving it all up.”

The three-time Cy Young Award winner is working on flexibility but said he “won’t put his hand on a ball” until at least March.

“It’s going to be a bitter winter because I am going to have to do a lot of work,” he said. “The pain I feel was one of the worst I have felt with any injury in my career.”

Martinez needs two strikeouts to reach 3,000. The Mets owe him $14 million next year and $11.5 million in 2008. - SI

Brad Pitt Furious over ‘Vanity Fair’ Cover

The Troy star’s lawyers are currently considering legal action against the magazine, insisting the actor had no idea he was going to appear on the December cover.

Tom Cruise is Powerful

Tom Cruise and producing partner Paula Wagner have been put in charge of United Artists, a film studio that was formed nearly 90 years ago by Hollywood actors including Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford.

The move comes after Cruise and Wagner’s fallout with Paramount Studios, which severed its 14-year producing deal with the pair in August. Sumner Redstone — chairman of Paramount’s parent company, Viacom Inc. — had blamed Cruise’s odd antics over his romance with Katie Holmes and his Scientology preaching for undermining box-office returns on the actor’s summer release, “Mission: Impossible III.”- MSNBC
