Antonella Barba On Wonder Bread
Controversial “Idol” semifinalist Antonella Barba joined Jesus, Mary and other members of that rarified group recently when someone posted on eBay a piece of Wonder Bread with a crudely rendered picture of the Jersey girl. It cemented Barba’s status as the most famous mediocre singing star on the planet … for this week
“What a shock to have my morning snack only appear to be an image of the scandalous Antonella Barba’s picture on my toast,” the seller wrote. “Talk about something from ‘The X Files.’ The truth is out there, my friends!!!” What’s sadder is that, as of press time, 11 people had bid the jokey Barba-ture up to $7.50.
Unfortunately it won’t help her stave off elimination, but the cottage industry that’s sprung up around Barba has turned the singer into the only “Idol” semifinalist most of America knows by name. - MTV News
Scorsese & Wahlberg’s HBO Drama
Oscar winner Martin Scorsese has teamed with his “Departed” co-star Mark Wahlberg for a drama series project for HBO about the development of Atlantic City.
The project will be developed in conjunction with the book, “Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City” by Nelson Johnson, which has been optioned by HBO.
Wahlberg and Levinson already are in business with HBO by executive producing two series, the hit comedy “Entourage” and the upcoming drama “In Treatment.” Leverage, which produces both series with HBO, is also behind the Atlantic City series. - The Hollywood Reporter
