The Most Hated Family in America

Warners forges ‘Metal Men’

Mining for new projects, Warner Bros. Pictures is hoping to strike gold with the robotic superhero team “Metal Men,” setting up the project with producer Lauren Shuler Donner. Eric Champnella has been brought on board to write.

Based on a DC Comics hero created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru in 1962, “Metal” revolves around a brilliant scientist, William Magnus, and his creations: six highly advanced robots who have powers associated with their respective metals — gold, iron, lead, tin, mercury and platinum. Instead of having to be programd, the Metal Men can think for themselves, which is both their genius and their biggest flaw. - Hollywood Reporter

I’ve never heard of this comic book before, but seems like a cool premise. It’s like a bunch of CP-3O’s with superpowers. I’m not sure if its going to be animated or not, but it just seems better suited as animated.

Can Jessica Alba See With ‘The Eye’

“I totally appreciate the stuff [I usually do],” the “Sin City” stunner said last week on the set of her latest movie. “But you know what? It’s a lot more interesting for me to play someone who is blind and a classical violin player than someone who is running around in the rain wearing a white T-shirt.”

In one of the most daring moves of her young career, Alba is spending her days stumbling around the dingy streets of downtown L.A. for “The Eye.” It’s a gritty reinterpretation of the cult Hong Kong thriller “Jian Gui” and casts the actress as a sightless violinist whose cornea transplant gives her an unwanted peek into the world of the supernatural. The high-profile autumn release has Alba working for producer Tom Cruise (a huge fan of the original film) and has forced Alba to stroll considerably outside her comfort zone.

“The Eye” continues shooting for the next few weeks. The thriller is targeting an October 12 release.

I can’t wait to see this movie. The original is actually a trilogy. She’s trying to take on more serious roles and hopefully “The Eye” can help her do that.

Kevin Garnett Interview

I love KG! He’s a great player, but he gets lost in the West and with all these newer younger players out there you can easily forget about him. Plus he’s in a really bad team. Why is he still there? Go to the Lakers w/ Kobe! I didn’t say the Knicks, cause he’s already suffered enough! Here’s a great quote from the interview:

“..I was telling some friends the other day, my analogy is a house. I’ve helped build a house or I’ve built a house [in Minneapolis]. It had old wood in it and I replaced it with special wood and it became a beautiful place. But now because things aren’t working right, now you ask me to move out of something that I helped build. That’s hard.”

Kevin Garnett as the Milkman or Gatorademan…Gatorade A.M. is really good. It has Tropical-Mango, Orange-Srawberry, and Cran-Raspberry.
