After receiving a record-setting 12,000 video submissions at TheLot.com from aspiring filmmakers around the globe, 50 semi-finalists have been selected for the new filmmaking competition series ON THE LOT from Mark Burnett, Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks Television.

In the two “audition round” episodes airing Tuesday, May 22 9/8c and Thursday, May 24 9:30/8:30c on FOX, these semi-finalists will discover the magic of moviemaking when they are brought to Los Angeles to visit a real-life film set for the first time and must endure a rigorous “Hollywood Boot Camp.”

Manny Pacquiao conceded defeat Sunday in his candidacy for a seat in the Philippines Congress, failing to transform his boxing ring stardom into political power.

He was defeated by Darlene Custodio, who has said Filipinos weren’t prepared to lose an icon like Pacquiao, the WBC International super featherweight champion, to the country’s chaotic politics.

“I accept the result of the canvassing,” Pacquiao told ABS-CBN television.

He urged Custodio and other winning candidates in his southern home province of South Cotabato to “make good on their promise to help the poor.”

“If that happens, I would be happy, it would be like a victory for me,” the 28-year-old fighter said. - ESPN

I’m a pretty scrawny guy so we cut cardio entirely and just focused on bulking up. Weight training involved a variety of exercises too numerous to mention at reps of about 8-12, for 6 days a week. After the first week I was longing for the sweet release of death, but soon enough got really into it.
