SEASON FINALE - Jack and his fellow castaways begin their efforts to make contact with Naomi’s rescue ship.

See how they are connected…. Season Finale tonight at 9pm ABC! Hopefully the finale is not as weak as the “Heroes” but hardcore like “Smallville” , which always seem to have great finales! Bizarro! (weakness is BLUE kryptonite)

Shrek 4 Origin Story

According to sources, DreamWorks chief Jeffrey Katzenberg wants “Shrek 4″ to be an “origin story,” a desire that goes a long way towards explaining why Jeffrey Katzenberg isn’t a screenwriter. “Katzenberg insists he always envisioned four chapters in the Shrek tale, and No. 4 will explore the green ogre’s origins,” is what we’re being told, and some of us will choose to remember that when “Shrek 5″ hits theaters in 2012. - Rotten Tomatoes

It would be cool if they just did a Gingy (Gingerbread Man) movie.

ABC Renews ‘October Road’

This is a pretty good show. I watched most of the episodes, but the last one really looked like the end of the whole story. It’s similar to “What About Brian..”, but with more of a dramatic tone. “What About Brian…” got canceled and I thought “October Road” was a goner too. I guess not. Before creating “October Road” with Scott Rosenberg, Appelbaum and Nemec were key writer-producers on “Alias”

ABC Studios is staying in business with “October Road” creator showrunners Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, inking the duo to a seven-figure, multiyear overall deal.

“Road,” a late midseason entry on the Alphabet sked, just snagged an order for a second season. Skein performed solidly behind “Grey’s Anatomy” during its trial run and will relocate to Mondays when it returns in late fall or early winter. - Variety

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - NBC ‘Heroes’ TV Spot

DiCaprio’s 11th Hour

About a decade ago, when Leonardo DiCaprio was on the cusp of megastardom and Al Gore was the U.S. vice president, the two talked together about global warming.

Now an all-out environmental activist, DiCaprio has followed Gore’s lead by bringing a climate change documentary to the Cannes Film Festival. DiCaprio co-produced and co-wrote “The 11th Hour,” which explains how humans have changed the climate and how to fix the damage. - MSNBC

NYC’s taxi fleet going green by 2012

The city’s yellow taxi fleet will go entirely hybrid within five years, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Tuesday.

Nearly 400 fuel-efficient hybrids have been tested in the city’s taxi fleet over the past 18 months, with models including the Toyota Prius, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, the Lexus RX 400h and the Ford Escape.

Under Bloomberg’s plan, that number will increase to 1,000 by October 2008, then will grow by about 20 percent each year until 2012, when every yellow cab — currently numbering 13,000 — will be a hybrid. - Yahoo
