Nike is suspending release of Nike Air Zoom Vick V

Nike is suspending the release of a new Michael Vick shoe that had been scheduled to hit retail stores in August, the company said today.

The decision is the latest fallout from Vick’s indictment this week on federal dogfighting charges.

“Nike is concerned by the serious and highly disturbing allegations made against Michael Vick, and we consider any cruelty to animals inhumane and abhorrent,” Nike said in a statement provided Thursday afternoon to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

iPhone may be disrupting Duke University network

Apple Inc.’s flashy new iPhones may be jamming parts of the wireless network at Duke University, where technology officials worked with the company Wednesday to fix problems before classes begin next month.

Bill Cannon, a Duke technology spokesman, said an analysis of traffic found that iPhones flooded parts of the campus’ wireless network with access requests, freezing parts of the system for 10 minutes at a time. - Yahoo
