Man Vs Wild & Luxurious Hotels

Even if some of it is not 100% real. It’s still a great show and Bear is awesome! If you really believe everything happens the way it is shown on TV, you are being a little bit naive… Even while watching it…you have to assume hes’s being helped a little bit.

Discovery Channel he-man Bear Grylls, the host of the survival-skills show “Man vs. Wild,” is barely the man he seems to be on TV.

On the program, Grylls appears to camp out in quickly-built shelters deep in the wilderness while battling hypothermia and dehydration. But when the cameras stop rolling, Grylls has actually moved to luxurious hotels.

Discovery Channel officials declined to comment, but in the U.K., where the show airs with the title “Born Survivor,” stunned network officials at Channel 4 said they are conducting an internal investigation.

Sylar is Spock!

“Heroes” star Zachary Quinto is set to play Spock in the new Star Trek movie, according to media reports.

Quinto, who plays Sylar on the hit TV show, is reported to be in final discussions to play iconic sci-fi character Spock for the new Star Trek film.

Lost creator J.J. Abrams has been lined up to direct the movie, which will be released next year. - Hollywood.com

Jets RB Curt Martin to retire… FINALLY!

New York Jets running back Curtis Martin, the fourth leading rusher in NFL history, is expected to announce his retirement this week.

In 11 NFL seasons, including eight with the Jets and three with the New England Patriots, Martin rushed for 14,101 yards and 90 touchdowns. In 2004 he won the NFL rushing title with 1,697 and became one of two NFL players to rush for at least 1,000 yards in 10 consecutive seasons. His 10,302 yards while a New York Jet represent a franchise record. - United Press International

Drew Carey to host ‘The Price is Right’

Genial comic Drew Carey was tapped Monday to replace silver-haired legend Bob Barker on the CBS daytime game show “The Price is Right.”

“I realize what a big responsibility this is,” he said. “It’s only a game show, but it’s the longest-running game show in American television and I plan to keep it that way.” - MSNBC
