Who Wants To Be A Superhero? Season Two Premieres Tonight at 9pm!
After a nationwide search eleven finalists will be chosen to live together and develop their original superhero concept under the guidance of Stan Lee. They will also compete in challenges designed to test their superhero qualities of integrity, courage, self-sacrifice, compassion and resourcefulness. The winning character design will be the subject of new comic book created by Stan Lee.

Jake, who helped search the rubble following the Sept. 11 attacks and later worked in Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007. As Anne Hathaway walked the red carpet on Tuesday night in New York at the premiere of “Becoming Jane,” her latest film that chronicles Jane Austen’s rise to fame and fortune as an author in the late 1700’s, she looked fresh and fabulous.
At 24, Hathaway is already at the top of her chosen career, with a string of movie hits behind her, including “The Princess Diaries,” “Brokeback Mountain,” and “The Devil Wears Prada.” It’s a life that differs dramatically from that of Jane Austen, who didn’t find fame and success with her novels until she was in her mid-thirties.

Meet Joe Cat
When Oscar the Cat visits residents of the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, the staff jumps into action — Oscar can sense within hours when someone is about to die.
“It’s not that the cat is consistently there first,” Dr. Joan Teno, a professor of community health at Brown University, who sees patients in the unit. “But the cat always does manage to make an appearance, and it always seems to be in the last two hours.”

Jessica Alba Now On ‘Sexiest Singles’ List
After two-and-a-half years together, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have split. The 26-year-old actress broke up with Warren, a 28-year-old producer, last week over the phone, sources tell Usmagazine.com.
Sources tell Us that Alba, who was abroad over the weekend promoting Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, called Warren on July 22 and told him, “I’m not in love with you anymore.”
Within hours, Alba had dispatched an assistant to the L.A. home they shared to pack up Warren’s belongings and move him out. - US Magazine

‘Lost’ An old face returns
A main character that went MIA at the end of the second season of “Lost’’ is returning to the fold.
Harold Perrineau is coming back to the show as Michael Dawson, who — after killing off a couple of key characters on the show — sailed off into the sunset with his son Walt. While Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) has appeared periodically since as a ghostly presence on the island, his dad hasn’t been seen or heard from since. - The Mercury News
Central Park Wireless Network Gets Speed Boost
Next time you find yourself in Central Park’s Sheep Meadow, feel free to hop onto the Information Superhighway at full speed.
Park officials say the wireless Internet service in that part of the park has been upgraded to 15 megabits per second. Previously, the Internet service ran at 3 mbps
That means that up to 70 laptop users can download movies or music without a noticeable loss of speed.
Seventeen parks in the city offer wireless service, but Central Park’s Sheep Meadow is the first to go high speed. - WCBS
