American Express Red

“…I ain’t got no Visa
I ain’t got no Red American Express
We can’t go nowhere exotic
It don’t matter ’cause I’m the one that loves you best
Talk to me girl..”

-Timbaland (lyrics from “The Way I Are”)

I like the song “The Way I Are”, but when Timbaland says “Red American Express”. I wondered is there such a thing? What’s a Red American Express card?

Getting To The US Open

Whatever Happened to that Brad Pitt Jesse James Movie?

There was a movie called “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” that stars Brad Pitt as Jesse James. It also starts Casey Affleck. It was produced by Brad Pitt and Ridley Scott. That should be cool! The last good western I saw was “Tombstone” or even “Young Guns” (Regulators! Mount Up!)

So whatever happened to that movie? It finished filming in 2005?!?!

Well..after several delays, poor test screenings, and reports of fighting between its director, producers and studio, the movie looked like it was destined for doom! BUT…

The movie was recently selected for presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival, a positive sign for many movie buffs. Furthermore, key critics who have seen early versions of the film are starting to get behind it.

After seeing the movie, Havens led an online backlash against naysayers, claiming: “Yes, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is better than Unforgiven. Better than Silverado or Wyatt Earp or any other Western in the past 30 years.” - canada

The film will be released on September 21, 2007.
