Willie’s Comments On The Legends of the Fall

The only good thing about yesterday was that I was able to concentrate on my homework assignments because the game was over in the 1st inning. I’m not sure what the repercussions are going to be, but I would like Willie to stay. I’m sure Omar is safe. But Ricky Henderson needs to go! Ever since he became 1st base coach, Reyes slumped! Batting .205 8 RBI 5 SB in September and can you stop dancing, Reyes! Your showing up the other team. Comprende? I can’t believe there is no Mets Post Season! :( What a disaster! I’m not going to even talk about what went wrong this season, cause every Met fan already knows…bullpen, old age, immaturity, etc. They had 7 home games against a bunch of last place teams and could only win one game. Pathetic!

Here are Omar Minaya’s comments on Willie Randolph:

“I owe it to sit down with my ownership and tell them what I think,” Minaya said. “But I’m telling you that I am happy with the work that Willie Randolph has done here for the past few years.”

“I look at his job for the past three years,” Minaya said. “The question as far as if his job is safe? I will tell you that I am pleased with the work that Willie Randolph has done.”

“All I can tell you is that myself, I believe in Willie Randolph,” Minaya said. “We’re a team together. The bottom line, Willie Randolph, for me, has done a good job. You don’t look at a person just one year. You look at a person over a couple of years and the change that has happened.

“I can tell you that Willie Randolph in the past three years here has turned this franchise around in a lot of ways.”

Anyway, I’ll be interested to see what happens in the off season and see who stay and goes. All I know is that the core of the Mets…Wright, Reyes, Beltran and Martinez… probably Maine, Perez are the only ones that are keepers…everyone else is expendable….oh you gotta keep Endy and Marlon Anderson…that guy is clutch!

Shawn Green, Tom Glavine and Paul LoDuca are pretty much gone I think. Here are some key free agents:

Jorge Posada, Ivan Rodriguez, Adam Dunn, Josh Fogg, Livan Hernandez, Torii Hunter, Jason Isringhausen, Andruw Jones, Randy Wolf…can’t think of anymore.

But I’ll be praying along with Mr. Met for a trade to get Johan Santana! I’d give up Jose Reyes for Johan in a heartbeat!

Karate Kid Remake?

IGN has been informed by a reliable source that Sony Pictures is developing a remake of “The Karate Kid” that will be produced by Will Smith’s Overbook Entertainment and Jerry Weintraub. Weintraub also produced the 1984 film, starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita, and its three sequels.

We were also advised that Smith’s son Jaden, 9, is attached to star in the remake. Jaden Christopher Syre Smith.
