‘Heroes’ Creator Apologizes to Fans

'Heroes' Creator Apologizes to Fans
Tim Kring knows that the episodes that have aired so far have been disappointing. He addresses some of the problems of Season 2 and promises that the show will get better.

“THE PACE IS TOO SLOW - ‘We assumed the audience wanted season 1 — a buildup of intrigue about these characters and the discovery of their powers. We taught [them] to expect a certain kind of storytelling. They wanted adrenaline. We made a mistake.”

THE WORLD-SAVING STAKES SHOULD HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED SOONER - The premonition of nuclear apocalypse created a larger context that unified every story line last season. Kring now sees that Volume 2 (the first 11 episodes of season 2) would have been better served if Peter’s vision of viral Armageddon had appeared in the season premiere rather than episode 7. ‘We took too long to get to the big-picture story,’ he says.”

Adam Monroe Saves ‘Heroes’

Recap a day late, but here we go… it took the last 10 minutes of the latest episode of ‘Heroes’ called “The Line” to get it going. I thought the writers of ‘Heroes’ went on strike first before everyone else did. Or did the writers decide to write ‘Journeyman’ instead?! ‘Lost’ can’t come any sooner!

Finally a good episode! I was getting really tired of Hiro in Japan and Kensei. I thought that was the weakest story line in ‘Heroes’, but finally we know who Adam is. No Adam is not Jacob from ‘Lost’. It’s the bad guy from ‘Alias’!

Preview of next episode…

In the present, Mohinder observes Adam’s name written on a folder Bob was carrying. Later, when Bob says that he has big problems and an individual to worry about who could be a real danger?!?! Hmmm….Mohinder brings up Adam’s name. Later, Peter and Caitlin find a note (signed “Adam”) in Montreal addressed to Peter, warning him about the Company. Hmmm….

Bob tells Nathan that Adam was the one who suggested the group of twelve come together, and suggested holocausts and plagues to help save the world, claiming that Adam felt he was a god. Nathan notes that Adam’s plans sound like Linderman, and Bob tells Nathan that Linderman was his disciple…Hmm… Someone is actually more evil then Sylar! Will they team up?

Angelina Jolie Shy About Nudity But Loves Her ‘Beowulf’ Lizard Tail

“I got a little shy,” Jolie told reporters, when asked about her revealing role in the computer animated film.

In “Beowulf,” Jolie plays an evil, but sexy, killer lizard creature covered from head to toe in nothing more than gold paint.

“I was really surprised that I felt that exposed,” she said at a press conference for the film. “There are certain moments where I felt actually shy – and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than [what] we expected.” - Access Hollywood

To help ensure people go out and buy the American Gangster-inspired American Gangster, Jay-Z will not put his new album on iTunes: “As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles,” he says.

‘Rock Band’ Cool Site

Rock Band launched its new site. Its really cool. Rock Band is a game similar to “Guitar Hero”. Rock Band will allow players to perform in virtual “bands” by providing up to four players with the ability to play three different instrument-based peripherals (a guitar peripheral for guitar and bass guitar sequences, a drum peripheral, and a microphone). These instruments will be used to simulate the playing of rock music by hitting scrolling notes on-screen.

Bear Grylls ‘Man vs Wild’ Season 3 Premieres Friday 9pm EST

Even though there was a lot of criticism of the show because the show wasn’t “100% real”. It was confirmed that Grylls had stayed indoors during some of his expeditions, although the show had depicted him spending the night in the wilderness.

I like the show a lot and always wondered if they would come out with behind the scenes material. I’m sure a lot of people wanted to know how and if they could do the same survival techniques. Because a lot of people wanted to know more about it, they found out that some of it was staged. Now if you see the repeats, Bear does a voice over during the show stating what was real and what was staged.

It’s still a great show. Even I knew that some things had to be “set up” or else the show would be boring.

Bear Grylls hopes his reputation as a blood-and-mud-covered adventurer hasn’t been tarnished since it was revealed he wasn’t totally roughing it during the previous season of his popular Discovery Channel survival series, “Man vs. Wild.”

“I think the new shows will reassure them,” Grylls says of the upcoming season. “Everything is strong and double-checked. Discovery is so cautious of everything. If I so much as break wind on these shows, it’s acknowledged now.”

“I hope they go down well,” Grylls says. “I think the irony is that people are going to enjoy seeing more behind the scenes. It’s going to make the whole program better.”
