The message behind a new Allstate insurance ad was what prompted Lifehouse’s Jason Wade to write a new song specifically for the spot.
The new Lifehouse track, “From Where You Are,” provides the musical bed for the “Tall Lights” commercial, which will debut during this Friday’s episode of NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” as part of Allstate’s new Teen Safe Driving. In the spot, teens are depicted in a variety of different situations until the end, when the voice of actor Dennis Haysbert, the campaign’s spokesman, delivers the sobering message that “every year, nearly 6,000 teenagers go out for a drive … and never come back.” - Billboard
