Torre Alba? To Mets
Free-agent catcher Yorvit Torrealba will agree to a three-year contract with the New York Mets on Thursday, according to Torrealba’s agent, Melvin Roman.
If Torrealba passes a physical, an announcement is expected in the next day or two. Newsday reported on its website that the contract will be worth $14.4 million over three years. - ESPN

i agree, yorvit sucks. his road numbers were .212/.292./.326 last year. that’s right, he SLUGGED .326 last year! might as well bat him 9th behind the pitcher. oh, and his throwing % sucks. but wait, he calls a good game. who freakin’ cares!! castro is much better. what a waste of money.
why won’t the mets spend real money on someone? the offseason headline will be yorvit… meanwhile the yanks are bringing in five more all-stars. i’m sick of being second fiddle!
