MacBook Air

The World’s Thinnest Notebook.

MacBook Air is ultrathin, ultraportable, and ultra unlike anything else. But you don’t lose inches and pounds overnight. It’s the result of rethinking conventions. Of multiple wireless innovations. And of breakthrough design. With MacBook Air, mobile computing suddenly has a new standard.

Note: The only thing is, the battery is apparently not user-replaceable. Also, there is no optical drive. If you want to use DVD’s you have to buy an external Super Drive.

Netflix has lifted its monthly time limits for online video viewing

Girding for a potential threat from Apple Inc., online DVD rental service Netflix Inc. is lifting its limits on how long most subscribers can watch movies and television shows over high-speed Internet connections. - Yahoo

*Note: Subscribers at the lowest level, who pay just $4.99 per month to rent up to 2 DVDs per month will only get to watch a few hours of video. But everyone else will get access to all 6,000 movies and TV shows currently available.

The change in service should be active this coming Monday. I still prefer watching movies on a big screen tv. Oh and if your a Mac user like me, your out of luck. Subscribers must also use a computer running the Windows operating system to watch streaming Netflix content.

ESPN And Major League Gaming

ESPN.com, the leading online sports destination, today announced it has entered a content agreement with Major League Gaming (MLG), the leading professional video game league.

ESPN will serve as a primary outlet for news about MLG, providing extensive digital coverage of MLG’s 2008 Pro Circuit Competitions, including exclusive streamed matches, pro player interviews, and scores and stats. Additionally, MLG will host ESPN co-branded online video game tournaments. - mlgpro.com

Kinda surprising. You usually just see these gaming leagues on G4 or GamePlay. ESPN already has Madden Nation, but that connected to football. Historic day for gaming.
