Kidd To The Mavericks…Well Maybe Not
Sources told ESPN.com that the Mavericks and Nets on Wednesday reached an agreement in principle on a Kidd deal after talks had seemingly stalled last week, moving the teams to brink of completing the NBA’s third blockbuster deal of the month.
*Update: Jason Kidd appeared headed to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday — until Devean George’s contract got in the way.
George was supposed to be among the players headed from Dallas to New Jersey, but he blocked it because of a virtual no-trade clause as part of a contract status called “early Bird rights.” - SI
Uno The Beagle Wins 132nd Westminster
America has a new Snoop doggie.
Barking and baying up a storm, Uno lived up to his name Tuesday night by becoming the first beagle to win best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club.
The only dog consistently listed among America’s most popular breeds for nearly 100 years, a beagle had never won in the 100 times Westminster picked a winner. That changed when judge J. Donald Jones pointed to this nearly 3-year-old package of personality.

2008 Movie Sequel Guide
There once was a time when movie sequels could never live up to their predecessors, no matter how much they tried, and anything beyond a Part 2 was not only low budget and cheesy, it definitely never saw the inside of a movie theater. This decade, however, has seen the rise of big-budget multiple-sequel blockbusters with franchises like Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Bourne hitting the “threequel” mark with great box office success and more sequels on the way.
But with the steady stream of big-budget sequels in the works, it could be a daunting task for the average moviegoer to catch up with a preexisting multi-movie franchise. Here’s a list of this year’s movie franchises and a guide to how to jump on.
Best Buy’s Promoting Blu-ray
