Kobe’s Drive

‘It would be a pattern: Bryant bearing down on players he once idolized. At Magic Johnson’s summer charity game in 1998 he went after Orlando Magic star Penny Hardaway so hard — in a charity game — that Hardaway spent the fall telling people he couldn’t wait to play the Lakers so he could go back at Bryant. And, more famously, Kobe attempted to go one-on-one against Jordan in the ‘98 All-Star Game, waving off a screen from Karl Malone. Take your pick-and-rolling butt out of here; I’ve got Jordan iso’d! That one didn’t go over so well with the Mailman. “When young guys tell me to get out of the way,” Malone said at the time, “that’s a game I don’t need to be in.”‘

UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn retains his 155lbs title

“Undisputed. UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn likes the sound of that, and after turning back the challenge of former champ Sean Sherk via third round TKO tonight in the UFC 84 main event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, he can be content in the fact that there are no more questions – either about his cardio or his claim to the title.”

Favorite ‘Indiana Jones’ Moments

I can’t wait to see INDY again! One of the best movie franchises. One of the best movie characters! One of the best theme songs! (which i can’t seem to get off my head) Awesome! This afternoon at around 1:30 anyone??? You know you want to take off work to see INDY!

Cinematical has 7 best moments from Indiana Jones. The opening sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark is probably one of the best opening sequence in film history.

Full article and details HERE

1. Raiders: “Start the engine!”
2. Raiders: Indy Shoots the Sword-Wielding Henchman
3. Raiders: “Ha ha ha ha… son of a bitch.”
4. Temple of Doom: The Dinner Scene
5. Last Crusade: “That belongs in a museum!”
6. Last Crusade: “Poor Marcus”

Five Reasons Why David Archuleta Lost ‘American Idol’

MTV has a good article on Why Didn’t David Archuleta Win ‘American Idol’? I liked the fact that David Cook won, because Daughtry should have won it last time. He was the fourth-place finalist on the fifth season of American Idol. My fav David Cook performances were his rendition of Billie Jean, Always Be My Baby, and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.

Below are MTV’s reasons for the five things that went wrong for early David Archuleta. Go HERE for the exact reasons:

1. He Was the New England Patriots
2. He Was Incongruous
3. He Was Al Gore
4. He Has a Creepy Stage Dad
5. He Was One-Dimensional

‘Eagle Eye’ Trailer

When I first saw this trailer, I thought it was a remake of the Matrix…mysterious phone call, interrogation scene, filmed in blue tinted lens. But no its about a guy (Shia LaBeouf) who has been framed as a terrorist, and they is coerced into becoming members of a cell tasked to assassinate a politician.

In theaters 9/26.

Kristin Kreuk As Chun-Li

Above is the first image of Kristin Kreuk (she needs a shower) is the title character of STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI. I don’t know…this one could suck big time! Not a lot of video game movies have done well. But it does star the beautiful Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) and Moon Bloodgood (Journeyman, Eight Below).

Another red flag is that Andrzej Bartkowiak is directing. He directed another bad video game movie “Doom’.

Guitar Hero World Tour

Activision on Thursday confirmed a fall release of Guitar Hero World Tour for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2, replete with wireless drums, guitar, microphone, a multitrack music studio, and enhanced online multiplayer modes.

Guitar controllers have been redesigned, in addition to the new drum set, which includes three drum pads, two raised cymbal bads, and a bass pedal. The pads are larger and quieter than Rock Band’s 5-piece set, and support velocity-sensitivity for crescendos and better bounce back for drum rolls.
