Natalie Coughlin (who is half filipino) waves to the crowd following her win and new world record during her heat in the women’s 100m backstroke at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials.
Natalie Coughlin’s lola, Zenaida “Zennie” Bohn, is no exception. Hailing from Meycauayan, Bulacan, Zennie is a constant presence at Natalie’s swimming events, bringing loads of lumpia and pancit for the whole swim team.
Here is a video of her circuit training …
Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall maybe? Seems the Xbox 360 will be getting a jump on things with a launch in September. New instruments, like the Fender Stratocaster will be available. You can also use the old instruments from Rock Band 1.
You’ll also be able to carry over all your current downloaded content and you’ll even be able to download and play new tracks on Rock Band 1 once Rock Band 2 is out.
Can you believe this was made in 1984!?!
This spot was awarded a Cannes Lions 2008 Film Bronze award. This commercial was directed by Mike Long of Epoch films.
‘”I could deal with the power but not his speed,” Diaz said. “I got tricked by his speed. I gave it my all. His speed is what sealed it for me. His speed was uncontrollable.”
“[The cut] didn’t bother me,” he said. “But I thought he had a knife. It’s like he was hitting me with a blade. I thought [Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach] was in there hitting me too. What can I say? I lost today, I’ll win tomorrow. To go like that with a guy like Manny Pacquiao, I think I’m doing pretty good.”‘

You got to have respect for David Diaz though. He wasn’t trying to run and hide. Diaz took his ass-whooping like a man.
AVC: How much concern was there over having a lead character who essentially doesn’t talk?
AS: None. Very early on, we were completely excited by the idea; we just didn’t have the confidence to try it until later. That’s what I love about Pixar; it’s an artist-driven studio, so we never even think about whether it’s commercial or demographic or anything like that. We really trust the filmgoer in ourselves, and go, “Lookit, I would love to see a movie like that.” And if the rest of your buddies say “I would too,” well, that’s all it takes. And then we make it.

Both getting excellent reviews. Rotten tomatoes is giving ‘Wall E’ the highest rating this year. It’s a Pixar movie so its going to be good.
Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune calls ‘WALL-E’ the best American studio film of the year so far…
‘Wanted’ w/ Angelina Jolie also opens. Based on a comic book about assassins. There is already talks about a sequel.
Quality is bad. Cool Batpod scene.
Can’t wait for ‘The Dark Knight’. Its going to kick all the other Superhero movies butts. An early review from Rolling Stone was very positive. Comparing it to ‘Heat’ and ‘The Godfather II’.
‘Love In This Club’ is one of my favorite songs right now. Especially the remix w/ Beyonce. Anywayz, this is a really good piano acoustic rendition by Alejandro Manzano of Boyce Avenue.
