Tim Tebow is the starting quarterback for the Florida Gators and last years Heisman trophy winner.

Dolphins Save Surfer From Shark Attack

He barely noticed the dolphins leaping over his head. Suddenly the shark released him. Fighting to stay afloat, Endris thought he saw the dolphins form a protective wall between him and the great white.

He had heard about a common practice in Taiji, Japan, where dolphins are herded into small coves and slaughtered to be sold at fish markets. Hoping to do his part to protect them, he joined several organizations dedicated to their preservation. “I tell my story now to anybody who will listen because I want people to know how truly remarkable dolphins are,” he says. “They’re as smart as humans, and I believe they’re capable of empathy. When I was being attacked that day, maybe they were trying to protect their young or acting on instinct. But they drove the shark away. If they hadn’t, there’s no doubt in my mind it would have come back.”

Guess Who Got Engaged?

Goodbye, Jeterbug

Thank you for being the lovable creature you are. For playing hide and seek, chasing me around the house, sleeping in the middle of my tiny bed and waking me up in the morning. Who could resist those puppy dog eyes as you lay your head on our laps, begging for food and shaking our hand? You gave everybody so much joy and laughter, especially as you dragged your butt across our carpet. Thanks for being gentle around old people and patient around the young ones. Everyone said you were more human than dog, especially when we had to spell out words like RIDE, OUT, HUNGRY?, BATH, BYE. How much you wanted to go along where ever we went and so excited when we returned, so happy, so excited, sometimes you’d run around all over our house with bursts of energy. I’m going to miss you, my buddy, our jujubee, jujubee-buster, beggar vance, foo-dog, sleep-dog, silly-dog… our dog. We’re so grateful to have you in our life.

Meet Joe Cat

When Oscar the Cat visits residents of the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, the staff jumps into action — Oscar can sense within hours when someone is about to die.

“It’s not that the cat is consistently there first,” Dr. Joan Teno, a professor of community health at Brown University, who sees patients in the unit. “But the cat always does manage to make an appearance, and it always seems to be in the last two hours.”
